Part of SALIU's Matcha Heze collection — tea ware built on the craftsmanship of historic kilns and natural materials — this bowl comes from Tanzangama, a kiln in Dachi Town, Toki City, part of the Mino ware pottery region. Tanzangama produces a wide range of vessels, from simple glazed pieces to intricate hand-painted work.
Each bowl starts with white rough clay, hand-thrown round on the wheel. A white glaze and Oribe are layered over the clay to bring out its rustic, earthen texture, finished with a single hand-painted brushstroke of rust color.

Care and Quality Note
Because this is a completely handmade piece, please note the following:
Unique Expression: Due to hand-finishing, there may be slight variation in size. The glaze may show unevenness, drips, pinholes, or iron powder due to the nature of the material, and coloring will vary from piece to piece — please enjoy these as the warmth of handmade ceramics.
Living with the Ware: Some pieces may have fine surface cracks (kannyu) at the time of purchase, while others will develop them as they're used.
Care Instructions: This piece is porous and absorbs water — avoid leaving food or liquid inside for extended periods, and it's not suitable for strong-smelling foods or dishes high in oil. Please use only for its intended purpose.
