Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives! If an item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, contact us immediately so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
The fastest way to ensure you get the item you want is to return the original item. Once your return is accepted, you can make a separate purchase for the new item.
We carefully pack and ship all orders within 2 to 3 business days. Please note that our team takes weekends and federal holidays off to recharge. Once your items are packed and out the door, we will send you a final confirmation email with your tracking information.
We offer free shipping on all orders over $75!
For orders under $75, shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your package. Processing times are separate from shipping times. Once your package leaves our hands, delivery depends on the method you choose at checkout:

If you are ordering from outside of California, no sales tax is required at this time. For all orders shipped within California, a 7.25% state sales tax applies. Because we operate locally out of Orange County, OC residents will see an adjusted local sales tax rate applied at checkout.
Yes! We love helping you share our curated Japanese and Taiwanese stationery and lifestyle goods. If your order is a gift or needs a special touch, simply email us at support@chaptertwogoods.com with your order number. Let us know the special occasion, and we will make sure it is perfectly packaged for your recipient.
We offer a 14-day return policy. You have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
We want you to love what you ordered! To qualify for a return, your item must be:
- Unused and unworn
- In its original, unopened packaging (with tags and protective film still attached)
- Accompanied by your order number and name
Note: We do our best to be fair, but our team makes the final call on whether an item qualifies for a return.
- Email us at support@chaptertwogoods.com with your order number and the reason you are returning the item.
- We will confirm you are good to send it back before you ship anything.
- Pack it up and send it in. If your return is over $75, we highly recommend sending it with tracking or insurance just in case.
Please note that customer is responsible for the return shipping cost. If you'd like to get a pre-paid shipping label, let us know and we can send you one. Cost of pre-paid shipping label will be deducted from the refund amount.
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you if the refund is approved. If approved, you will be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Keep in mind that your bank or credit card company may take additional time to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, please contact us at im.chaptertwo@gmail.com.
Yes. The following items are considered final sale and cannot be returned:
- Sale or clearance items
- Custom or personalized pieces
- Anything opened or used
- Pens, pencils, and brush pens (Note: Once a fountain pen is inked, it cannot be returned. However, let us know if you think there is a manufacturing defect!)
- Gift cards
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, and original shipping charges are non-refundable (unless the error was our fault).
If you want an easier return process, you can ask us for a prepaid shipping label! We will simply deduct the cost of the label from your final refund.
If it was shipped to you and marked as a gift: You will receive store credit once we process the return.
If it was not marked as a gift, or shipped to the buyer first: The refund must go back to the buyer's original payment method.
