Description

A fish-shaped taiyaki with a little red bean paste squeezing out at the tail, made as a chopstick rest at Ihoshiro Kiln in Mizunami, Gifu Prefecture, one of the towns that make Mino ware. The scale pattern continues on the back, so it reads as taiyaki from either side.

The kiln fires in electric kilns and runs its workshop partly on solar power.

Small enough to sit beside a rice bowl, steady enough to rest a pen on your desk.

** Sold individually. Chopsticks, pens, and other items in the photos are for display and not included.
