Each one is glazed and fired by hand, and no two leave the kiln quite alike.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThe whisk is a Shin chasen carved from purple bamboo. Its prongs are finer and more flexible than a standard whisk, so they bend further with each stroke and draw more air into the tea. That is where a silkier foam comes from.
